Resident Church Planters

Who We Are

Meet Jaime & Gracie Rodriguez, church planters of Calvary 85. This family has been members of Calvary Severance for the past 6 years. During this time, they received God’s direction to plant a Gospel-centered church in Northern Colorado’s Highway 85 Corridor (Eaton, Ault, Pierce, Nunn, Greeley).  Jaime grew up in Westminster, Colorado, and has been a math teacher over the past six years in Windsor, Commerce City, and Fort Lupton, and has served in almost every ministry at Calvary Severance. Gracie grew up in Mozambique as a missionary kid and returned to Mozambique to work after college before she met Jaime. Gracie moved to Colorado in January of 2023 and works for the Poudre Libraries as an answer technician. Jaime and Gracie welcomed their son, JT, in August of 2024. Jaime will be stepping away from full-time teaching after the 2024-2025 school year to dive into church planting. Jaime and Gracie trust fully in the call God has placed on our lives and are walking in faith and obedience in this church-planting journey.

What We Are Doing

The goal is to launch Calvary 85 in January of 2026 along the Highway 85 Corridor in Northern Colorado.

Why the 85 Corridor?

The statistics say that:
70% of people in this area are unaffiliated with any religious body.
0.41%  of the population are members of an SBC church.
7.8% of people are affiliated with an Evangelical church.
The population is projected to increase by 30% in the next 5 years.
Many people commute 20-45 minutes to attend church due to a lack of Gospel-centered churches in the area.

Highway 85 is known as the highway of death due to high-speed collisions and often overlooked communities. Jaime and Gracie hope to help bring eternal life to the residents of this corridor as they share the Good News of Jesus Christ to this growing community.

What Can You Do to Help?

PRAY
Join Jaime and Gracie in prayer. Pray for wisdom and guidance as they follow the Lord’s lead and pray that God would already be softening the hearts in the community where we will be ministering. Pray for God to win the 85 Corridor for His Glory.

GIVE
Become a financial partner. Colorado is one of the more difficult states to plant churches, as many congregations struggle to even raise enough to support their own pastors. We seek partnerships to help us meet the financial necessities of church planting, whether that be through a one-time or recurring financial gift.

GO
We also have lots of work ahead of us in organizing VBS and community events where having extra hands would be a blessing.

Follow along on our journey.
