Praise the Lord, fall is almost here! I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to more consistent routines and cooler temperatures. With the fall also comes a fresh semester of disciple-making opportunities at Calvary Severance. The elders encourage you to prioritize gathering for worship with the church on Sunday mornings and participating in a Life Group, but if you have the bandwidth, I'd ask you to consider a few additional options.
During the week, we hold Bible studies for men and women. These studies walk through books of the Bible verse by verse. We're in 2 Timothy in our weekday morning studies right now, and on Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings starting September 11, the ladies will be walking through Jen Wilkin's book God of Covenant.
We're also expanding our Disciple-Making Pathway trainings this fall. In addition to a new "Walk with Jesus" semester, we'll offer an introduction to biblical leadership called "Lead Like Jesus" and a class on reading, interpreting, and applying the Bible called "Understanding the Bible."
Whatever your availability or interest, we pray that our discipleship offerings this fall will help you grow to know God more deeply.
