Following Christ is Not a One-Man Band
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. - Hebrews 10:23-25
As we prepare for the inaugural Calvary 85 VBS Sport Camp next week, I have had a lot of time to reflect on all the people who have crossed our path on this journey. Next week, we have people from five different churches coming to serve with us in Ault as we host what is the first outreach of Calvary 85; there is no way we could have done this alone.
One of the phrases that has been on my mind throughout this church planting journey is that “God is at work, and we are just here for the ride.” That statement remains true, and what a joy it has been to see him work in our lives and in those around us as well.
Gracie and I have been overjoyed with the prayers and support of everyone here at Calvary Severance and beyond. Last week, we used Amazon to request supplies for the upcoming VBS, and both times, the entirety of our list was purchased within an hour. I know that is evidence of God’s work and God’s people working together to help us prepare.
So my encouragement for you this week is to join us in prayer! Join us in prayer for VBS next week, join us in prayer for the building as we launched our 40 days of prayer on Monday, and join us in prayer for God to show us his will. We have a prayer meeting tomorrow night at 6:30 at the building, and we encourage you all to join us in prayer!
