Are We Ready to Go Fishing?

For those of you who know me, you all know I love to fish. I mean, really love to fish! I loved bass fishing so much that at a point in my life it was much more than just a hobby or something I enjoyed to do, but rather an idol. It was a passion I couldn’t help but want to do daily. In the bible, Jesus called out to Simon and Andrew and asked them to put their nets down and to follow him to become fishers of men. This was their daily job, a way of life, and their income. This was not something they just did on the side or as a hobby. Just as they, or we, go out to catch fish with a passion, we as believers should approach each day with a passion for how we can share the gospel message of Christ. This message should be so important we can’t help but share with our family, friends, co-workers, and others around us in life. We as believers should strive in our lives to study and know God's word and message to be able to be fishers of men and women around us daily. We should want to do this with a passion and desire. Are we ready to go fishing today?
