God at Work is a Treasure Worth Sharing

I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. - Psalm 116:1-2

God works in ways better than we could ever hope for and with a love that is greater than we can imagine. This idea has been running around in my head the last few weeks as Gracie and I are getting ready to move next month. Every step of the way we have seen the grace of God in answering our prayers.

Last month at the church’s prayer meeting, we wrote a request for a buyer for our house, the next day we got an offer. Move forward a couple of weeks and we were praying for the house in Eaton to move into, that they would be willing to work with us as the timeline to buy the house wasn’t really in our favor, we put in an offer and the next day, the timeline moved up almost six weeks for us to move mid-march, during spring break, again an answered prayer!

It is really easy to see God answer these big prayers in the moment, but when I look back over the last couple of years, God has been at work in the day to day as well. How about this one, as I was driving and praying through Eaton last week, I saw flashing lights pop up behind me, I pulled over and had the most fruitful conversation of the day on how we can step in and serve the community, again God answered prayer for ways to engage the community…although I wouldn’t recommend driving around with expired tags (they were packed up before I put them on).

God hears our prayer and works things together for His glory and our good! Take some time this week and share at your dinner tables how God is at work in your life, God at work is a great treasure worth sharing. Hope to see you tonight at The Building as we continue to pray as a church body!
