Making Jesus Non-Ignorable

I often get asked what the term Non-Ignorable means. It is not a term that we use often in everyday conversation. In fact, it is kind of weird. It is the main thrust of our Vision Statement as a Calvary Family church but couldn’t we say something different? These were thoughts I had until I heard one of the Calvary Family pastors explain what Non-Ignorable means. After hearing his explanation I love the term all the more. Check our how Dan Freng defined what it means to “Make Jesus Non-Ignorable”.

“A future day when there are so many joyful, passionate disciples of Jesus, loving Jesus, obeying Jesus, displaying Jesus, and proclaiming Jesus in your city and around the world, that anyone who doesn’t know Jesus can’t go anywhere or do anything without encountering or experiencing Jesus through one of His disciples. Big cities. Rural communities. Neighborhoods. Apartments. Schools. Businesses. A non-ignorable, increasing multitude of maturing, multiplying disciples loving Jesus in church plants, replants, and revitalized churches around the world.”

This explanation describes making Jesus non-ignorable as a process carried out through those who know, trust, and have been redeemed by Jesus. We also understand that we are the means by which our neighbors are introduced to, shown, and given the good news of Jesus.

So now you know what “Making Jesus Non-Ignorable” is all about, let's make Jesus Non-Ignorable in Severance and to the ends of the earth.
