Love One Another

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
John‬ ‭13‬:‭34‬-35 ESV‬‬

How often do we in our daily lives ignore this commandment? It wasn’t a suggestion and Jesus even told us the why behind it. I believe he gave this instruction because it’s unnatural in the human life to love others well because of our selfish nature. Maybe it comes easier for us to love our children or our close friends but loving others how Jesus loves us and according to the definition of love in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8, it truly takes intentional action and even discipline. In treating others with love,  according to Christ, people will know that we are his disciples. Many people are afraid to witness and share the gospel with others, and we absolutely should be doing that, but my challenge to you today and this week is to love one another well. Don’t be quick to bicker or complain with others, but show patience, kindness, and compassion.
